The Tag Game

This is the second video I created during camp.

The Moon Landing Gone Wrong

I spent the past week in a camp called "Claymation". Each afternoon we worked on a project that would lead to a claymation video.  We learned many elements of producing a video from setting up the storyboard to adding sounds to the video.  This was the first of two videos I produced during camp.  (Oh, and I was the youngest kid in class.)

Award Day

Yesterday was award day.

At school we had our annual academic competition with Websterville Baptist.

The fourth, fifth, and sixth grades all participate in the competition, and everyone takes the same tests; if you're testing in Math and History, you take the same test as a fourth grader that the sixth graders take.  Each grade only competes against those in their same grade; the goal is to get the most right in your subject areas of everyone in your age group.

Anyway, I competed against the other sixth graders, and my subjects were Science and English.  In Science I took Second Place, and in English I took First Place.

The certificate under my two academic awards was given to me for participating in Tae Kwon Do Winter Camp.

Patrick - Wildlife Photographer

This is my shot. I was able to get really close before he hopped backwards into the hollowed out stump and nearly disappeared. Every week I feed about seven of these guys at the Outreach for Earth Stewardship in Shelburne.  It was cool to see one in the wild AND in my very own yard.

Patrick - Wildlife Photographer

Yesterday, as the sun was setting, I spotted this animal resting in the hollowed out stump of one of our maple trees. We tried to capture pictures from the safe distance of our front door, but the zoom lens wasn't strong enough to get a good shot.  So, I got my boots on and walked closer to see if I could get a better shot.

The owl was  just resting quietly and was perfectly camouflaged in that tree.  I can't believe I even spotted it!  My mom took this picture of me moving in for the shot.
